OVERTON BLUEGRASS & GOSPEL MUSIC FESTIVAL Directions

 

To Festival From The East (Shreveport) on I-20:

Heading west on I-20, go past the Marshall, Longview and Kilgore exits. Take Exit #582 (Hwy. 3053, Overton/Liberty City).  Turn left at the stop sign and go under I-20.  Go about ¼ mile, then turn right onto Hwy. 3053.  Stay on Hwy. 3053 until you get to Overton (about 12 miles). Hwy. 3053 (Motley Drive) will dead-end at the stop sign at  Hwy. 850.  Turn right on 850.  Go three blocks, then turn left into City Park on Lakeshore Drive.

 

To Festival From the West (Dallas) on I-20:

Heading east on I-20, you will pass the Tyler exits (Hwys. 69, 155, and 271).  Continue east on I-20 and take Exit #582 (Hwy. 3053—Overton/Liberty City).  Turn right at the stop sign after exiting.  Go about ¼ mile, then turn right onto Hwy. 3053. Stay on Hwy. 3053 until you get to Overton (about 12 miles).  Hwy. 3053 (Motley Drive) will dead-end at the stop sign at  Hwy. 850.  Turn right on 850.  Go three blocks, then turn left into City Park on Lakeshore Drive.

 

To Festival From The South on Hwy. 259

        From Hwy. 259 in Henderson, take Hwy. 64 west towards Tyler for approx. 1-1/2 miles.  Turn right on Hwy. 323.  Hwy. 323 will dead end at Hwy 135 in Overton; turn right on Hwy 135.  Go to blinking stop light in center of town (Hwy. 850).  Turn left on Hwy 850.  Go four blocks, then turn left into City Park on Lakeshore Drive.

 

Our festival is held in a beautiful outdoor setting at the Overton City Park.  This is a place where you can bring your blankets or lawn chairs for seating, and join us for a wholesome family event. Good food and drink concessions are provided by community organizations, such as the Boy Scouts, the Masonic Lodge, the Chamber of Commerce and the Management Training Corporation. We hope to see you at the 23rd Annual Festival June 10th and 11th 2011.
