The proud winner of the custom made Mossman guitar at the 21st annual Overton Bluegrass Music Festival
was Bill Smith of Longview, TX (center). Background (L-R), Mike Austell (representing Mossman Guitars), Don Eaves (Festival
Chairman), Steve Tehan, and Kayla Jordan (Pick'N Grass). The winning ticket was drawn by Kellie Barber of Pick'N Grass.
Thanks to all who bought tickets. Congratulations, Bill!
Thanks to all the fans who came out for the 21st Annual Overton
Bluegrass Music Festival! We had our biggest crowd ever, great entertainment and excellent food! It was a
little warm, but overall, it couldn't have gone much better.
I would like to personally thank the members of the 21st
Annual Overton Bluegrass Festival Committee for all of your contributions to the success of the festival. I really
appreciate your advice, dedication, and hard work over the past year!
I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of the
volunteers who helped this year selling tickets, driving shuttles and golf cars, and doing the many other things that needed
to be done. The spirit and friendliness of our volunteers is truly a trademark of our festival, and one of the things
that keeps people coming back year after year. Once again, along with all of our Overton volunteers, many others came
from out of town to work in key roles at the festival, such as Cowboy and Sara Barrett of Nacogdoches, Gary & Ann Edwards
of Brazoria, Ted and Carla Miller of Austin, and Ed, Becky & Chris Fryday of Webster.
Special thanks to the many volunteers and staff from
the Northeast Texas Treatment Center, who put in many hours of hard work preparing the park grounds prior to the festival, and
helped us with set up activities as well as parking and clean up during the festival. We couldn't do it without
you!
To all of our sponsors, patrons, and advertisers, we thank
you sincerely! We couldn't produce a festival of this quality without your support!
Well, now it's time to start planning for next year!
